Just thought I’d post some info on the Chinese New Year. This year is the Year of the Rabbit. Much calmer than 2010 but not without it’s twists and turns. You know how fast rabbits can run! Here’s a sign by sign breakdown and a list so you can find out what animal YOU are! Enjoy!

The Chinese New Year begins this week on the 2nd of February. How’s this calculated? Well, it’s based on the 2nd New Moon after the Winter Solstice. The Chinese Animal Signs have many similarities to the Western Zodiac –but use animal archetypes. What are you? This is the year of the Rabbit or Cat. For some reason there’s a difference I think Cat is Vietnamese(?). Either way if you think about it, they’ve got similar energy. They’re both adorable and fuzzy, independent (that’s a big theme for this year with all that Aries energy we have coming our way with Uranus and Jupiter in Aries) and both can move VERY quickly at a moment’s notice. Yes, this year will have its warm fuzzies, but twists and turns with amazing speed will be the overall theme. How will you fare in the year of the Rabbit?

Well, Rats need to keep an eye on their spending this year even though your business seems to be thriving.

Oxes will experience a slow and steady progress due to baggage carried over from last year. But the key is you’ll be making progress.

Tigers will get a boost in the ego department by looking back at your accomplishments from last year. Kind of a coasting year for you.

Rabbits: well what do you think, Rabbit? Of course it’s your year. Career advancement is a major theme and you’ll have plenty of help along the way.

Dragons: this is a mellow year for you with possible minor health issues. Overall smooth sailing at last!

Snakes: You too need to watch the spending as it’ll seem to burn a hole in your pocket. Busy year too-make sure you know what your priorities are.

Horses: New members of the family, lots of financial luck for you as well–this is one is much better than last year which was pretty good overall but may have had some confrontations.

Sheep: A bit of a challenging year –some of the issues from last year might be prompting you to make a move, change jobs, or health issues could stall plans. Overall a year of transition.

Monkeys have a good year. This is a year of planning for the future. Work chills out and damage done last year will smooth over.

Rooster’s year is a time to hedge your bets. No wild money transactions for you-they’re likely to fail and unexpected expenses may crop up.

Dogs learn new tricks this year. Overall you’ve got the ability to solicit support for any new ventures you’d like to try!

Pigs have a pretty social year ahead. New and interesting people just pop into your life and any challenges you encounter can be dealt with quickly and efficiently.
